This interactive performance, interview and workshop, offered by Kunstbalie, provincial organisation for amateur art, art education and community art, intends to contribute to the sharing of knowledge, support and consciousness of the possibilities to address urban issues with community art in order to provide those sometimes complex problems with new perspectives.
Topic of the event will be ‘Sibelius at the front door’, a community art project supported by Kunstbalie and created by EELT Theatercollectief and ContourdeTwern, that aimed to contribute to the resilience of a vulnerable neighbourhood in Tilburg, Brabant.
The session consists of four connected hands-on experiences:
09:30 – 10:00 A short performance to experience the project ‘Sibelius at the front door’
10:00 – 10:20 An interview in which we zoom in on how to create successful co-creation by analysing ‘Sibelius at the front door’.
10:20 – 11:30 A hands-on workshop in which you will tackle one or more real societal issues from present stakeholders, to provide them with new perspectives, using Creative Problem Solving and Design Thinking related tools.
11:30 – 12:00 A wrap up to gather and share the newfound perspectives.
