Inspired by the German Art Vending Machine, last year artist Ro-Nalt Schrauwen introduced the first Pakje Kunst vending machine in the Netherlands at Gianotten Mutsaers in Tilburg. The idea is simple: making regional art accessible for a small price. There are now Pakje Kunst vending machines in increasingly more cities.
On Sunday 24th September, in collaboration with Gianotten Mutsaers bookstore, Pakje Kunst is organising the very first Pakje Kunst trade fair in the Gianotten Mutsaers store in the Emmapassage in Tilburg. Purchasers of a Pakje Kunst will have the opportunity to trade boxes with each other. Make a good deal with another Pakje Kunst owner! There will also be a number of artists present during the afternoon to talk about their work, so even if you don’t want to trade, you’re very welcome to come along anyway.
– 13.00 Opening by one of the cities’ artists
– 13.30 Start of tradefair
– 14.30 End of tradefair
– 14.30 Closing by one of the cities’ artists
