The province of Brabant aims for a healthy cycling climate, with lots of people on the bike. Good cycle routes over long distances are being constructed (fast-cycle routes) and in collaboration with employers, people are being stimulated to travel to work by bike. Mobility plays an important role in social resilience, with cycling contributing to this. But the bike is more than just a mode of transport that brings people from A to B. It is a mode of transport that stimulates interaction, facilitates spontaneous encounters and that is also healthy.
During this session, the convergence of both bike mobility and social resilience are central. What are the issues and activities? Where do we see possibilities for connection? And what can we mean for each other?
